About Dr. Malahoo
Dr. Nisha Phillip Malahoo is an education consultant, speaker and the 2026 Toyota Family Teacher of the Year, with 13 school years in the classroom and a doctorate in K-8 mathematics education.
Her consulting and speaking focus on family engagement, community partnerships, and mathematics and STEM program development for schools, districts, education agencies and nonprofit organizations. Over 13 school years in Title I education, her programs secured more than $175,000 in competitive grant funding and reached more than 300 families each year. She currently serves as Director of Education Programs and Community Engagement at Above and Beyond for Change in Orlando.

Conference keynotes and sessions, and professional learning for teachers and coaches on lesson study, questioning and rich mathematics tasks. Sessions run on site or online, from a single keynote to a multi-session partnership.

For families
K-8 Mathematics Tutoring
Weekly online mathematics tutoring for students in kindergarten through grade 8, in Dr. Malahoo's own secure online classroom with a waiting room and a watch link for parents. Families choose a weekly or monthly plan.
